Why work with Jane Anderson?
The reason why you do what you do (Your PURPOSE!) is really important and I spend a lot of time working on this with my clients. The same goes for me!
My calling has always been to help others. I didn’t realise this as much until a few years ago when I was separated, went through a demoralising divorce and had to leave the town and move back to Brisbane. I didn’t have a job and spent 3 months unemployed trying to find a one. I had never been unemployed in my life. I was smart, had a degree, lots of experience but I was at my lowest point in my life. I applied for jobs online but I couldn’t seem to get interviews. It wasn’t until my mother finally tapped me on the shoulder and said it was time to see Centrelink.
I couldn’t believe it……. How did this happen?
So took myself out of the trenches of applying for jobs and tried to get some perspective. I realised that I was a marketer by trade and I needed to treat myself as an organisation trying to get customers. I needed to be clear about my brand, my vision, values and the messages I was sending. So, I did a Personal Branding exercise with myself and defined the exact dream job I wanted. Once I designed it I knew exactly what I was looking for. The only issue was that it didn’t exist and wasn’t advertised, however it didn’t deter me. I applied directly to the organisation I wanted to apply for. They came back to me and said that they didn’t have a role for me at that point but they would keep me on file. Two days later I got a call to say the person in the role has resigned and would I like to take their job!
So, my story is why I do what I do. I have since become of Australia’s leading Personal Branding Experts. I spend most of my week speaking at conferences and events, writing articles, books, training and mentoring other Personal Branding coaches, trainers and LinkedIn profile writers in the industry. Hence I only coach 2-3 clients per week so you may have a 3-4 week wait to get in.
You can see my “About Jane” page here with all my credentials and background.
Life is simply too short to be in the wrong job!
How do I know you’re acting in my best interests?
- I’m bound by a code of Ethics under the International Coach Federation and the Career Development Association of Australia that says that I will always act in you best interests. If not I risk my accreditation.
- If I am affiliated with any products that I suggest for any training I will disclose this information.
- I pride my reputation on honesty and integrity. If I’m not the right person to help you I will refer you to who I believe is better to work with you.
Where are the sessions conducted?
All face to face sessions are conducted at my office at Eight Mile Plains, just near Garden City Shopping Centre on the Southside of Brisbane. Address details are provided with your confirmation of your booking.
You can also have your session over Skype or the phone if you prefer. I deliver coaching to clients all over the world regularly so Skype is a great way to save travel time and cost.
How much do you charge?
Most initial sessions with me are $550 for 1.5 hours. The standard ICF Coaching rates are $550 per hour for a PCC (Professional Certified Coach).
Follow up sessions are generally $395 for 1 hour.
Outplacement Programs are priced a little higher as I find these are clients who need more support outside of the coaching sessions. This allows me to make sure I have to react to urgent questions and opportunities for you if you’re going through this package.
Who are the types of clients you work with?
I work with people from all walks of life and my specialty is with corporate Senior Managers and Executives, especially women. I do get clients from a very broad range of industries and even school leavers. I also deliver a lot of Medical Interview Skills Coaching (i.e Surgery, Urology, Dermatology etc) so I am usually heavily booked toward the end of July.
If I’m not the right person to help you I will certainly refer you to the right one!
What if one session isn’t enough?
I am not the type of Career Coach who will book you in for 10 sessions for the sake of it. I get results with you and move quickly. I generally find most clients get what they need in the session they have booked. Occasionally you may decide you need some follow up support. These follow up sessions are priced at 1 hour for $395 and you can pay on the day of your session. If you would like to package some of the services you’re welcome to. They’re listed here.
On the other hand, if you’re an Executive Coaching client, this is more about behaviour change work which takes longer. Executive Coaching programs are typically 6-10 sessions and 1 session per 2-4 weeks.
